Book launch
Yolanda: An Oral History in Verse

Saturday, 31 October, 15:00

Tim Tomlinson is the co-founder of New York Writers Workshop. Join us for the launch of his book Yolanda: An Oral History in Verse, which will appear this October. It is an account of super-typhoon Haiyan (known in the Philippines as Yolanda) from the perspectives of those who survived it. Using accounts from witnesses, the result is a multi-voiced, multi-narrative overview in 27 poems that function as both ‘found’ and historical.

This free event is organized in collaboration with the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival. Refreshments will be served.
